Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park, the first of America’s National Parks, showcases a variety of wildlife, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. The Park also contains the world’s most impressive collection of geysers and hot springs, including Old Faithful. The park allows its visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and Ranger-led programs. Below are a few of our favorite camping spots:

Dry camping:

West Yellowstone

Home to the West Entrance of Yellowstone and gateway community to Yellowstone National Park. Surrounded by three national forests, blue-ribbon trout streams, and beautiful mountain lakes, West Yellowstone features lodging, dining, shopping, and family-friendly events year-round.

Old Faithful area

Old Faithful is located in Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin in the southwest section of the park. The geyser-viewing area is the most accessible and visitor-friendly in the park with bench seating, a large parking lot, and a ranger station that tracks the time, height and length of an eruption to predict the next eruption.

Canyon area

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is roughly 20 miles long, measured from the Upper Falls to the Tower Fall area. The canyon was formed by erosion as Yellowstone River flowed over progressively softer, less resistant rock.

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is located south of Yellowstone National Park in northwestern Wyoming. Jackson WY is the hub city with lots of activities including; Rafting, biking, hiking, camping and fishing. Below are a few of our favorite camping spots:

->Colter Bay Campground (It’s the only RV park style campground within Teton NP)
